Retail Brand and Operations Manager - Cleveland Cavaliers (Cleveland, OH)

Summary:  Successful candidate will plan and execute sales and operational best practices across all Quicken Loans Arena events including Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Gladiators and other Q events. Responsibilities will include accountability for Retail Shop, Merchandise Concession and Warehouse performance in the areas of talent, operations and brand. Direct areas of accountability include: Maximizing sales revenue, ensuring operational integrity, driving operational efficiencies, staff training and development, and execution of highest levels of customer service resulting in exceptional fan experience. Position requires full participation in all Arena events.

Responsiblities: 

Operations

  • Assist and support Director of Retail with the establishment and implementation of retail strategies involving store management, concessions/event management, and inventory management.
  • Forecast and execute sound operational and financial plans associated with managing retail merchandise strategies within Quicken Loans Arena.
  • Analyze operational efficiencies, customer service levels, product sales/trends to make improvements and maximize future business opportunities.
  • Maintain ongoing communications  with buying group, warehouse and leadership team  to support merchandise, sales and marketing strategies
  • Protect company assets through compliance with POS controls, cycle counts, and inventory and LP procedures.
  • Execute retail audits across all areas of accountability
  • Maximize all technological resources and tools to assure best practices and time management.
  • Create and execute sales, expense and payroll plans at every level within discipline.

Brand

  • Promote Organizational service model to consistently deliver extraordinary fan experience.
  • Ensure execution of visual standards that promote a positive shopping experience
  • Create and strengthen internal partnerships to expand retail presence and support system.
  • Ensure proper staffing to effectively support all service and operational initiatives resulting in positive fan experience.
  • Deliver best practice execution of all Quicken Loans Arena events to continue building upon our industry reputation.

Talent

  • Hire, train and develop management team to deliver superior selling, customer service, merchandising, leadership and operational skills throughout organization.
  • Develop diversified internal and external bench-strength.
  • Assure compliance with all Human Resource standard operating procedures.
  • Hold staff accountable for results. Deliver feedback as needed to promote personal and business growth and development
  • Achieve labor management goals related to recruiting, hiring, training, goal setting, performance/productivity, customer service, and disciplinary requirements.

Experience/Education

Minimum 4 year college degree preferably concentrated in the area(s) of business sales and operations, labor management, and/or inventory control preferred; 5-10 years of retail operations experience concentrated in store management, labor management, and/or inventory management (preferably in a sports entertainment, specialty retail store, or a department store environment); Experience in directly managing a team of multiple full time managers and indirectly managing as many as 10 or more part time employees; Must be customer service oriented with a passion for achieving and operating a highly professional store shopping environment; Experienced in inventory control; Detail oriented with strong analytical skills; positive attitude and strong work ethic a must; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Must have strong people skills able to motivate staff to achieve goals; Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment; Computer knowledge and/or experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, , Microsoft Outlook;  Ability to work extended hours based on facility event schedules, workload and deadlines;  Required to work extended periods walking and standing, frequently bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and light load carrying; Required game-day duties as dictated by job responsibilities and workload; Ability to work a minimum of 95% of all Quicken Loans Arena events which may include but are not limited to basketball games, hockey games, concerts and other special events based on job responsibilities and workload; Required to work 100% of all marquee events including but not limited to playoffs/post season games

Retail: Warehouse Operations
Seasonal Retail Warehouse Associate - Cleveland Cavaliers (Parma, OH) - Retail Team (Cleveland, OH)

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, assists the Quicken Loans Arena retail operations team with day-to-day inventory and warehouse activities that include but are not limited to processing shipments, storing/organizing products, distributing/replenishing merchandise, and participation in retail operational special projects. This is a seasonal position from April through June with potential of a permanent Part-Time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and checking-in of retail vendor purchase orders and receipts.
  • Ticketing merchandise.
  • Inventory put-away and organization of product in warehouse.
  • Picking and pulling of warehouse merchandise for distribution to retail selling locations.
  • Perform price changes.
  • Maintain daily detailed communications with supervisor pertaining to all levels of responsibility
  • Participate in special event and concert retail set-ups and teardowns.
  • General protection of company assets via adherence to corporate retail inventory policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of retail inventory or operations experience  preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours based on workload and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the E-Commerce Manager, will assist in all retail e-commerce customer service initiatives including accurate and timely processing of all on-line orders.This is a seasonal position from April through June with potential of a permanent Part-Time position.
