DESCRIPTION:
• The Cleveland Cavaliers seek a teachable, dedicated individual who possesses superior listening and communication skills and is eager to learn to sell our season tickets.
• Under the guidance of the Sales Manager, our Inside Sales team acts as a feeder system for senior level ticket, client experience and group sales positions.
• We offer a weekly salary, generous commissions, free parking, plus a positive and professional environment! (Health insurance is not included in this temporary position).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will:
• Sell Cavaliers (NBA) ticket packages, as well as suites and other premium seating to the general public and local corporations
• Manage generated ticket account base
• Participate in game/event day duties as needed
• Staff ticket sales tables during outside functions such as luncheons, business shows, conventions, etc.
• Assist with incoming sales line


REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree.
• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required
• Previous job/internship experience within the sports marketing industry is essential.
• Must have a strong work ethic and a burning desire to build a career in professional sports.

OBJECTIVE:
The Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) and Quicken Loans Arena seek a teachable, dedicated individual who possesses superior listening and communication skills and is eager to grow their career selling group tickets for our organization. Under the guidance of the Director of Group Sales, our Group Events Specialists sell group tickets for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena family shows.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Generating new group sales through telemarketing, outside appointments and building tours.
• Prospecting new group sales opportunities through telemarketing, referrals and networking events.
• Setting meetings with key decision makers of community and corporate groups.
• Developing professional relationships with current clients for group outing renewals and referral leads.
• Providing a high level of service to all accounts.
• Staffing ticket sales booths at outside functions including luncheons, business shows, conventions, etc.
• Must meet all predetermined activity and sales goals.
• Assisting with creative concepts for production of group sales materials including brochures, flyers and all other support materials.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Assist with other group duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous internship or work experience within the sports industry.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience (ideally with a sports franchise) with a proven track record in a high volume sales environment.
• Relationship selling experience is a plus.
• Computer literacy required.
• Position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills. Must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments and sales.
• Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sports industry.

Sales, Service, & Marketing: Ticket Operations
Ticket Service Representative - Cleveland Cavaliers, Lake Erie Monsters, and Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland, OH)

Type of Position: Part-time, hourly

General Statement of Duties:
Support all ticket sales efforts and programs in a variety of ways. Become an expert on the Veritix platform. Work with all teams to streamline ticketing processes. Assist the sales team in providing a high level of service to our season ticket holders. Concentrate on the operational support of the box office. Act as a project manager for any program initiated and supported by the box office.

Typical Duties:

  • Work closely with the Cavs and Monsters sales teams on supporting all sales initiatives
  • Prepare external and internal offers
  • Monitor all public on sales to ensure proper applications of fees
  • Work with the web team to deliver links to be used online
  • Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly ticket sales reports
  • Act as a liaison with DDM and Veritix to keep the informed about on sales and other ticketing initiatives
  • Help in the development of Veritix training material
  • Conduct training on the Veritix platform
  • Work closely with Cavs sales, service and premium seating teams on inventory management, price codes, sales sources, setting up the manifest, etc.
  • Manage season ticket renewals, invoicing and pay plan processes for sports properties.
  • Work closely with sales on relocation events for sports properties.
  • Manage the operation of the access control system and its integration to the ticketing system.
  • Advise solutions pertaining to customer service issues and work closely with ticket sales and service management on proper follow up.

Qualifications:
Education or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent training & experience;
Other Skills and qualifications:

  • Previous box office experience with a professional sports team is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and be proactive in anticipating problems and providing ticketing and customer service solutions.
  • Maintain and develop great relationships with all other department team leaders as will be interacting with these leaders on an ongoing basis.
  • Be cooperative, courteous and patient in dealings with employees, guests and others.
  • Have good communication and decision making skills.
  • Able to handle multiple functions and work at a fast pace under stress.
  • Flexible regarding work hours since duties will require working outside the normal “9 to 5” schedule.
  • Experience in working with technology and implementing new ideas to streamline communication and processes

Client Service Representative - Lake Erie Monsters (Cleveland, OH)

General Statement of Duties:
Assists in coordinating all special events, hospitality packages and programs for Corporate Partners and Season Ticket Holders as it relates to Monsters Hockey and Quicken Loans Arena. Work closely with Manager of Marketing & Service for fulfillment of media and promotional elements associated with corporate partnerships. Develops and maintains relationships with both Corporate Partners and Season Ticket Holders. Special Projects as assigned.

Typical Duties:

  • Supports all other Corporate/Ticket Sales Department group leaders (i.e. Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Corporate Sales, Sales Manager, Group Sales Manager with departmental communications and project coordination.
  •  Develop, maintain, enhance and strengthen relationships with our season ticket holders – including their family, friends, clients, employees and guests.
  • Using relationships develop and maintain a season ticket base with regular customers as a primary contact for all service and event related issues.
  • Assist in developing all Special Events and Hospitality Packages to maximize the involvement of Corporate Partners with the Monsters and Quicken Loans Arena as well as enhance Partner relationships with the organization.
  • Consistently, genuinely and enthusiastically answer incoming phone calls and emails on items such as game night questions, season ticket holder benefit questions, customer profile changes, account balances, etc.
  • Assist in developing and implementing all season ticket holder programs during all games throughout the season as well as other game night duties as needed.
  • Makes arrangements for conferences or meetings and assembles background material for Corporate and Ticket Sales Consultants as needed.
  • Coordinating banquets and special events by scheduling, preparing material, making reservations and ordering food for receptions and special functions.
  • Administers the payment of invoices and tracking of departmental expenses.
  • Assists in the hiring and management of interns and seasonal interns as needed.
  • Assists with all administrative tasks as needed as well as mailings of the Corporate/ Ticket sales department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four-year college degree with an emphasis in sport management, business or communications.
  • Individual must posses the desire to grow their career in professional sports in sales, service, event management or marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle a number of responsibilities at the same time.
  • Must be able to work events and beyond normal business hours as needed.
